An ortho-medical support cushion is made of a unitary piece 3.5 cm thick from a structural modification of "rubber-silicone" obtd. by mixing these 2 base resins in amts. of 70% rubber and 30% silicone, and sheathed in a 3-layer synthetic envelope. Prodn. of the support and a mould for its prodn. are also claimed. The envelope preferably comprises (1) a layer of cotton/ polyamide fabric mm thick, secon on its edges, ensuring slipping w.r.t. the adjacent fabric, (2) a transparent polyurethane film enusirng impermability and nondeformability of the cushion, of thickness depending on the desired weight e.g. 0.050 mm for a wt. below 40 kgs, and (3) a cotton/polyacrylamide fabric 1mm thick ensuring external protection of the cushion, in white, blue, red or black, sewn on 3 edges and provided with a Velcro (RM) on the 4th edge. ADVANTAGE - The cushion is flexible, ensuring comfort and mechanical stress distribution in multipunctual manner; stable, durable and nondeformable.
