PURPOSE:To prevent such a situation that facsimile communication can not be normally conducted due to inproper communication method when the electric field intensity is weak on the reception side and the state of a channel is unfavourable by providing an electric field intensity analyzing circuit and a communication method deciding circuit. CONSTITUTION:An electric field intensity information is inputted to the electric field intensity analyzing circuit 3 from the external as a signal (e). The circuit 3, analyzes the electric field intensity based on the signal (e), generates a signal (f) indicating the state of the electric field intensity based on the result of said analysis, and transmits the signal (f) to the communication method deciding circuit 4. The circuit 3 judge upon a communication method corresponding to the content of the signal (f), based on the result of said judgement, generates a signal (g) instructing the communication method, and transmit the signal (g) to a procedure communication circuit 1 and an image signal transmission circuit 2. The circuit 1 informs the reception side of the communication method instructed by the signal (g) by a procedure signal (a) through a radio channel. The circuit 2, based on the signal (g), judges the communication method, and transmits an image signal (c) encoded in an encoding system based on said communication method the reception side. |
