PURPOSE:To rapidly lay a covering sheet, by a method wherein, after a covering sheet is laid on a water surface above a reclaiming land by providing buoyancy as long sheets, having water impermeability and flexibility, are joined together to form a wide covering sheet, the sheet is sunk onto the seat bottom through removal of buoyancy. CONSTITUTION:Long sheet 6 formed with polyvinyl chloride resin sheet is unwound from each containing body 7, and a lock member 12 is attached in the longitudinal direction of the each long sheet 6 as an overlap part 6a is welded by a welder 8 to form a wide covering sheet 11. A rope 9, wound around each containing body 10, is interposed through the lock member 12 for locking, and a float 13 is engaged with the rope 9. A rod material 14 is attached to the forward end of the covering sheet 11, and a pull rope 14a, attached to the rod material 14, is wound by means of a hoisting drum installed on an opposite revetment 1 to lay the sheet 11 on a water surface 16. The rope 9 and the float 13 are removed from the sheet 11, and the sheet 11 is sunk to lay it on a sea bottom 5. |
