The electrical heating element includes two graphite components serving as current terminals, with contact screws (2) for connection to a single phase supply. The resistance element itself consists of lamellae made from unidirectional carbon fibres. These are situated parallel along the generators of a cylinder, occupying a half circular pattern. Connections between the graphite contacts, and the resistance elements are made using screws made also of carbon fibre material. ADVANTAGE - Carbon fibre element is mechanically very strong, and is suitable for use in chemical industry for high temperature heat processing.
