<p>PURPOSE:To detect a target and to make it possible to function within a suitable offset altitude (distance) by detecting the value of an effective range altitude that can be obtained by detecting beat wave generated when electric wave reflected from ground or target and transmission wave overlap each other. CONSTITUTION:Detector 6 is provided with oscillator 19, circulator 21 which through pulse modulator 20 modulates pulse of high frequency electric power generated by the oscillator 19 and transmit its signal to flat plate antenna 2, mixer 22 to which a reflected wave caught by the flat plate antenna 2 is inputted through the circulator 21, and detecting device 23 which detects beat wave outputted from the mixer 22. It is sensed, by finding generation of beat wave 27 through setting pulse width of transmission wave at the width corresponding to detecting altitude, that the wave has reached a specified altitude. Envelope 28 connecting every peak point of the beat wave 27 is identical in shape with Doppler wave. In this instance, amplitude of the Doppler wave that generates between anti-armour shell 8 and target is bigger than that of the Doppler wave that generates between the shell 8 and the ground 17, so if a threshold is given between these amplitudes, a target can be detected.</p> |
