The discharge nozzle for an aerosol can (202) e.g. for industrial or domestic foam products has a fixed outer body (210) which clips on to the bulbous rim (205) of the cam. The fixed body houses a sliding push button (209) which fits over the central outlet valve (215) on the can. The push button has a serrated operating surface (213) and a cylindrical discharge nozzle (216) which fits into and slides within the bone (240) of the fixed body. When the operating button is depressed, the contents of the can pass through an internal opening (217) to the discharge nozzle and finally to the delivery part (238). ADVANTAGE - The operating valve has a moving push button which is guided axially to prevent damage to the aerosol valve. The outer fixed body is designed for easy installation without inadvertent loss of contents.
