The grid frames (1) of a mobile fence are set up and connected in each case by an adjustment stand (10) provided therebetween. In this arrangement, the respective frame post (2) of the grid frame is received at the bottom by a sleeve of the stand and, further up in the top region of the stand, by a fork. Since a sleeve (18) can be adjusted in height, there is the possibility of setting up the grid frames in stages, with the result that adaptation to inclined terrain is possible. <IMAGE>
