PURPOSE:To obtain the title resin composition prevented from discoloring upon being crosslinked by irradiation with electron beams, by adding a specified basic lead silicate as a stabilizer and a plasticizer containing an epoxy plasticizer to a vinyl chloride resin. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of 60-93wt.% PbO with 40-7wt.% SiO2 is molten, cooled and ground to obtain a stabilizer (B) comprising a basic lead silicate of a mean particle diameter <=3mum. 100 pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin (A) of an average degree of polymerization of 700-10000, which may contain at most 30wt.% comonomer, is mixed with 0.5-50 pts.wt. component B, 20-200 pts.wt. plasticizer (C) (e.g., di-2-ethylhexyl adipate) containing 0.5-20 pts.wt. epoxy plasticizer (e.g., epoxidized soybean oil) and, optionally, a lubricant, a flame retardant, an antioxidant, etc. |
