PURPOSE:To dispense with the necessity for providing a check valve in a refrigerating system by preventing an end of a coil spring from protruding from an end of a cylinder when the coil spring is fitted in a spring retainer. CONSTITUTION:A coil spring 26 is slidably fitted in a spring retainer 28 bored on a cylinder 5. When the spring 26 is inserted into the retainer 28, it is arranged such that an end thereof does not protrude from an end face of the cylinder. When a rotary compressor is stopped, the flow of intake gas is stopped, and at the same time high pressure gas flows back through a pass hole 29 from a compression chamber 8. Then, a read 25 is compressed against an end face 30 of an auxiliary bearing 7, so that the back flow of the high pressure gas is stopped at this portion. |
