PURPOSE:To continuously perform copying by providing a size re-selecting means and selecting sheets the size of which is one-rank bigger than the size selected in case sheets of the size selected are not set. CONSTITUTION:An optical system 400 is disposed in the upper part of a main body 300, and an image forming part 500 is disposed in the lower part of the main body 300. A sheet feeding cassette 600 and a manual sheet feeding part 650 are disposed in the left side of the main body 300. The optical system 400 exposes and scans an original and image-forms a reflected beam of light from an original surface on the surface of the photosensitive drum 1 of the image forming part 500. A sheet set in the sheet feeding part 650 is detected by a sensor MP1, and its conveyance is detected by a sensor MP2. Groups of sensors 601-604 and 605-608 detect the size of sheets housed in cassettes 20 and 21. When a selecting key sets magnification value selection, the magnification value is set by a magnification setting mechanism, and a sheet the size of which responds to the magnification value is selected. If corresponding-sized sheets are not set, sheets the size of which is one-rank bigger than the selected size are automatically selected. Therefore copying work can be continuously performed without a miscopy. |
