PURPOSE:To reduce trouble in operation by providing a means which inhibits setting an editing and copying mode and inhibiting setting in case there are not copying sheets the size of which responds to a coordinate which rules a specified area. CONSTITUTION:An optical system 400 is disposed in the upper part of a main body 300, and an image forming part 500 is disposed in the lower part of the main body 300. A sheet feeding cassette 600 and a manual sheet feeding part 650 are disposed in the left side of the main body 300. The optical system 400 exposes and scans an original and image-forms a reflected ray from an original surface on the surface of the photosensitive drum 1 of the image forming part 500. The sheet feeding part 650 houses plural sheets of various sizes and a sheet is detected by a sensor MP1, and its conveyance is detected by a sensor MP2. Groups of sensors 601-604 and 605-608 detect the size of sheets housed in cassettes 20 and 21. If an editing mode is set by a selecting key, a sheet feeding part which houses sheets the size of which responds to coordinate data which rules a specified area, is selected. If there are not corresponding-sized sheets, the editing mode is inhibited and a miscopy can be prevented. |
