PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive, highly reliable position detecting device, by providing two position detector, using the position detector whose resolution is not high at high speed movement, however, whose resolution is high at low speed movement or at the time of stop. CONSTITUTION:Another pulley 21 is further fixed to an output shaft 3 of a motor 1. Said pulley 21 is engaged with a pulley 19, which is fixed to a rotary shaft 18 of an encoder 16, by a timing belt 20. The encoder 16 is fixed to a base 15 by a bracket 17. The rotation of the output shaft 3 of the motor 1 is transmitted to the rotary shaft 18 of the encoder 16 as well as a rotary shaft 13 of an encoder 11. When the output shaft 3 is rotated, the encoder 11 and the encoder 16 generate pulses corresponding to the resolutions, respectively. |
