摘要 <p>There is provided a method of fitting a substrate with a cylindrical optical part that has a lens, an optical semiconductor element having a light-emitting part or a light-receiving part substantially at the focal point of the lens, and terminal(s) connected to the optical semiconductor element. This method employs soldering to simultaneously performing the mechanical connection of the cylindrical optical part (15) onto the substrate (10) and the electrical connections of the terminals (16). Specifically, the substtrate may be provided with a terminal-fastening portion or a terminal-pressing member (20), or the terminal-pressing portion may be formed integrally with a positioning jig (19). According to another aspect of the invention, there is provided a method of fastening optical parts and electric parts onto the substrate at one time by soldering. A heating block is divided into two portions, one having good heat conductivity and the other having poor heat conductivity. The portion having good heat conductivity is brought into contact with the back surface of the substrate mounting the optical parts, while the portion having poor heat conductivity is brought into contact with the back surface of the substrate mounting the electric parts. Then, the heating curves become nearly the same for both the optical parts and the electric parts, and the electric parts are prevented from being adversely affected by the thermal load.</p>
