Device for adjusting a mirror

A device is proposed which is used to adjust a mirror, especially the rearview mirror of a motor vehicle. The adjustment device includes a mirror support and at least one component which is arranged on the latter, takes the form of a pin, can be longitudinally adjusted by means of a motor and is connected to the mirror support by means of a ball-and-socket joint, the ball socket of the ball-and-socket joint enclosing the ball pivot in an elastically extensible fashion. In order, at the very least, to make involuntary unlocking of the ball-and-socket joint more difficult, the ball pivot has an edge which is situated in a plane which is arranged transversally to the direction of adjustment of the component. <IMAGE>
