PURPOSE:To shoot a night view by exposing for a specific long time even if the longest exposing time is limited with an automatic exposure control by providing a release control means for releasing a shutter in a specific exposing time for night view shooting in preference to be exposing time under the automatic exposure control when an external world is darker than a specific luminance at the time of requiring a distant view shooting. CONSTITUTION:The title device is provided with a brightness discrimination means for discriminating whether or not the external world is darker than the specific luminance and the release control means for releasing the shutter in the specific exposing time for night view shooting in preference to the exposing time under the automatic exposure control when the external world is darker than the specific luminance at the time of requiring the distant view shooting. Namely, since a photographic lens is set so that infinity is an optimum focusing distance and a specific long exposing time is set by requiring the distant view shooting when the external world is darker than the specific luminance, the night view shooting can be accomplished even if the longest exposing time is limited with the automatic exposure control.
