<p>PURPOSE: To minimize turbulence in a gas turbine by securing a flame holder in a selected first recess formed in the downstream of a fairing. CONSTITUTION: An afterburner part 14 is provided, in the circumferential direction thereof, with a plurality of fuel injectors 16 each comprising inner and outer casings 38, 36 surrounded by a heat shield formed of a plurality of fairings 20 and a flame holder 22 having substantially V-shaped cross-section is provided. A part 68 of the flame holder 22 is received in a first recess 40 made in the fairing 20 and fitted tightly, in place, by inserting pins 84 into holes of the flame holder 22 and engaging them with the pin supporting parts 96, 98 of the fairing 20. According to the structure, turbulence is minimized at the joint of the fairing and the flame holder and the combustion zone can be stabilized.</p> |
