PURPOSE:To usefully utilize exhaust energy of an auxiliary engine, by a method wherein a bypass pipe is installed on an air feed pipe through which surplus feed air of a main engine is fed to the auxiliary engine. CONSTITUTION:An air supply collecting pipe 7 of a main engine 1 is coupled to a feed collection pipe 10 of an auxiliary engine 2 through an air delivery pipe 3. A bypass pipe 24a branched in a manner to nip an inlet valve 23 of the air delivery pipe 3 therebetween and coupled to the air suction port of a supercharger 9 of the auxiliary engine 2 is provided. Under the state in which the inlet valve 23 is opened in a state that surplus feed air of the main engine 1 holds a sufficient pressure, the inlet valve 23 is opened and a bypass pipe 24 is closed and an exhaust valve 21 is released to exchange exhaust gas energy with other energy. This constitution enables useful utilization of exhaust energy from the auxiliary engine. |
