Variable-load valve for airbrakes of vehicles

The variable-load valve for airbrakes, especially of rail vehicles, has a cam (5), rotatable as a function of the load, the cam surface (7) of which is composed of a run-on face (8) and a roll-off face (9). A roller (12) of a rocker lever (13) is capable of rolling on the cam surface (7), the roller (15) on the other side of which lever is capable of rolling on the end face (16) of a valve tappet (17). The axially displaceable valve tappet (17) belongs to a valve device (22) for controlling a pressure representing a load-dependent signal. Movements caused by ride shocks lead at most to rolling of the roller (12) on the roll-off face (9), the rocker lever (13), the valve tappet (17) and the valve device (22) thereby remaining undisturbed. The empty and load changeover valve therefore presents very little wear and can ensure long operating times with little maintenance. <IMAGE>
