In the case of a workplace with running rails and displaceable and rotatable work panels which are designed with patterns of connecting holes, by adding a minimal, structurally identical number of components and supplementing with additional patterns of holes the conversion flexibility is to be further increased and workplace-overlapping constructional shapes made possible and the number of applications further extended. To achieve this object, provision is made according to the invention for the work panels (4) to be supplemented with narrow edge work panels (4', 4''), for the work panels (4) and edge work panels (4', 4'') to receive, in addition to the patterns of holes at the articulation-point spacing of the connecting straps (2), corner-connector patterns of holes for receiving corner connectors (5), which are structurally identical to the corner connectors (5) which are used for the connection to form multiple panels at the bevelled corners, for the work panels (4) to be produced to be the same length as the running rails (1) and the work panels (4) and edge work panels (4', 4'') to be assembled, in structurally identical design horizontally as work panels (4) and vertically as panel supports, by means of the corner-connector patterns of holes with inserted corner connectors (5) to form stationary workplaces and to be combined with the structural elements of the displaceable workplaces. <IMAGE>
