<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operability for shift of a cursor by varying the resolution in steps in accordance with the pushing degrees of a pressure-sensitive element on a mouse and sending the mouse to the host side after changing freely the shift speed and the shift value of the mouse. CONSTITUTION:The rotational value of a rotary shaft set when a mouse is moved in an optional direction is decomposed in the X and Y directions and detected by encoders 11 and 12. The number of counting times of output of both encoders 11 and 12 are supplied to a CPU 14. When a pressure-sensitive switch 15 which is set on the mouse and decides the resolution is pushed, a pressure-sensitive element detects the pushing degree of the switch 15 for production of an analog signal in accordance with said pushing degree. This analog signal is supplied to the CPU 14 via an A/D converting circuit 16. The data on the number of counting times of output of the encoders 11 and 12 are processed in the CPU 14 based on the resolution changed by the data. Then the shift value of the mouse which is converted by said resolution is sent to a host computer and displayed by a cursor.</p> |
