<p>A printed circuit board (2) is fed through a gap between two press-rollers (7, 7') by a first conveyor belt (14). After passing through the gap, it is collected by a second conveyor belt (15). The press-rollers are of identical design. Each press-roller comprises a jacket (46) enclosing a cavity connected via a conduit (48) to a vacuum pump (4a). Part of a plastic film (1) taken off a supply roll (6) by drive rollers (3, 4, 5) is drawn through a plurality of perforations (45) present in the jacket (46). The plastic film (1) is thus applied in a completely tension-free manner to the printed circuit board on which it then lies without creases or defects. Air inclusions between the sheet film and the printed circuit board are practically excluded.</p> |
