摘要 The process is to be used for producing, by powder metallurgy, an elongated body which contains oxide ceramic superconductor material of the material system Me1-Me2-Cu-O(Me1 = rare earth metal including yttrium; Me2 = alkaline earth metal) having an orthorhombic microstructure and a high transition temperature. In the process, an intermediate of pulverulent particles in a metallic cladding is first constructed, which intermediate is subsequently formed into an elongated structure with reduction in cross-section and finally annealed in oxygen and then cooled. The process should enable higher critical current densities of the superconductor material to be obtained. For this purpose, it is provided according to the invention for the intermediate (4') to be constructed using fine pulverulent particles (3a) of the material system, which particles at least largely possess a tetragonal phase, for this intermediate (4') to be then formed into the elongated structure and for the particles in the formed structure to be finally converted, at least mostly, into the orthorhombic phase by means of heating and cooling treatment in an oxygen atmosphere. <IMAGE>
