PURPOSE:To improve the shelfstability and the graininess of the sensitive material by incorporating a specified polymer and the scavenger of the oxidation of a color developing main agent in the sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The title material comprises the polymer (a) which contains a repeating unit shown by formula I and has a weight average mol.wt. of <=30,000, and a compd. (b) which is capable of reaction with the oxidant of the color developing main agent and does not supply an image density in for example, the emulsion layer of the sensitive material. In the formula, R<1> is H atom or alkyl group, Z is an atomic group necessary for forming a lactam ring or an oxazolidone ring, etc., A is a single bonding or -CO- group, etc., (n) is 1-6. And the polymer (a) is exemplified by a poly(N-vinylpyrolidone) or a N-vinylpyrolidone-acrylamide copolymer, etc. The compd. (b) is exemplified by a hydroquinone compd. shown by formula II. |
