The object of the invention was to functionalise thermoplastic olefinic polymers as quantitatively as possible with the aid of substantially non-hazardous compounds. …It has now been found that this object can be achieved if the polymers to be functionalised are reacted in the melt with aspartic acid or derivatives thereof. …The polymers functionalised in this way can be added to polycondensates in order to improve the notched impact strength thereof.
