Method of manufacturing thin, surface-treated natural or artificial stone plates

Methods are known, in which the plates are first made in a predetermined thickness, whereupon at least one plate side is then surface-treated. The method envisages that an original plate is first made in at least twice the predetermined plate thickness, subsequently at least one plate side is surface-treated and then a plate having the surface-treated plate side is separated in a predetermined thickness. The method finds application in the natural-stone and artificial-stone processing industry. <IMAGE>
