PURPOSE: To always and exactly recognize and control a carrier state of bank notes by providing a carrier data indicating means performing a graphic indication of a carrier processing state by an indicator. CONSTITUTION: On the upper surface front side of a device main body 11, a left starting key 16, a right starting key 17, ten keys 18 for input setting and an indicator 19 for input guide are equipped. Based on these devices, a transaction operation is performed. On each carrier path, each carrier processing state detection sensor detecting carrier processing states such as a skew degree of bank notes and a bank note carrier space degree in an area corresponding to the carrier path in which the bank note is carried after a carrier processing is performed for the bank note is equipped. The indicator 19 is provided so as to performed graphic indications of the detected carrier processing states. In the indication of these graphics, the skew degree of the bank notes and the space degree of the bank notes are classified into 5 classes.
