PURPOSE:To obtain a cell gap uniformly by forming a color filter on the size of a substrate which contacts liquid crystal, forming a protection layer on the color filter, and polishing the protection layer. CONSTITUTION:This manufacturing method has a process for forming the color filter 4 of at least one color on the side of at least one substrate 1 which contacts the liquid crystal, a process for forming single or plural organic or inorganic layers 5 on the color filter 4, and a process for polishing the single or plural organic or inorganic layers. Although the man-hours are the same with a conventional method, the irregularity of the substrate 1 which affects the cell gap is improved. Consequently, the uniform cell gap of a liquid crystal is obtained. |
