<p>The device (1) comprises at least one selection lever (8), one end whereof is arranged laterally facing the needle cylinder (4) at the level of a heel (7b) of selection elements (7) accommodated in the grooves (3) of the needle cylinder (4) below the selectors or sub-needles (2). The selection lever (8) is movable towards or away from the needle cylinder (4) from a first position, in which its end engages the heel (7b) of the selection elements (7), to a second position in which it does not interfere with said heel (7b). The end of the selection lever (8) has a rising portion which in the first position raises the selection element (7) when the needle cylinder (4) rotates with respect to the selection lever (8). As an effect of this lifting, the overlying selector (2) is engaged by a lifting cam (6) arranged facing the needle cylinder (4) so that the overlying needle (5) is moved to knit.</p> |
