摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an apparatus which enables measurement of a physical property value on stream, by providing an ultrasonic wave generating means for generating an ultrasonic wave in an object to be measured to perform a computation based on a propagation velocity of the ultrasonic wave and an expression previously stored. CONSTITUTION:Based on a drive command signal outputted from a control circuit 4, an object 6 is irradiated with a laser light from a laser oscillator 1 for generating ultrasonic waves to generate an ultrasonic wave in the surface of the object 6. The ultrasonic wave propagating through the object 6 is detected with an ultrasonic wave detector 2 provided at a specified distance from the laser oscillator 1. The propagation velocity of the ultrasonic wave is determined with a data analysis/memory circuit 3 from a time difference between the timing of irradiating the object 6 with the laser light and that of detecting the ultrasonic wave propagating through the object 6 with the ultrasonic wave detector 2. Then, a physical property value of the object 6 is determined by an expression for obtaining the value from the ultrasonic wave propagation velocity previously stored.
