PURPOSE:To utilize the magnetic flux generated in a magnetic circuit effectively, to reduce useless leaking magnetic flux and to decrease loss, by providing superconductive material between a coil and a magnetic core around which said coil is wound. CONSTITUTION:A film 7b comprising a superconductive material is provided on a substrate 7a. As the film 7b, a superconductor comprising a higher temperature oxide such as, e.g., Y-Ba-Cu-O, La-Sr-Cu-O or the like, is used. The magnetic flux that is generated in a primary coil 2 flows through a magnetic core 1 and reaches a secondary coil 3 as in the conventional device. With respect to the component that is going to become leaking magnetic flux without passing the entire length of the coil, the flux is hindered with the diamagnetism of the superconductive material and eddy current loss. The leaking magnetic flux on the short-cut path is decreased, and the useless magnetic flux can be decreased. This is especially effective for the leaking magnetic flux in a DC mode based on the characteristics of the superconductive film. Therefore, the magnetic flux generated in the magnetic circuit can be effectively utilized, and the useless leaking magnetic flux can be decreased. |
