PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a temperature sensor by switching a cooling fan from large-capacity air blowing operation to small-capacity air blowing operation after the end of copying operation at timing corresponding to the output of a continuous copy quantity detecting means. CONSTITUTION:The cooling fan 6 is switched from the large-capacity air blowing operation to the small-capacity air blowing operation after the copying operation at the timing corresponding to the output of the continuous copy quantity detecting means 4. Then the large-capacity air blowing operation is carried on more for a time proportional to a continuous copy quantity after the copying operation. Consequently, the air blowing capacity of the cooling fan 6 is switched from the large capacity to the small capacity after the copying operation at the proper timing and the low-cost constitution which uses a small number of components prevents a temperature rise due to the remaining heat in continuous copying operation. |
