In another form of bracket used in the frame the internal channel is extended so that the bolts are not coplanar, Figs.7a and 7b (not shown). The bolts 80, Fig. 9, have rectangular heads with one pair of diagonally opposite corners removed so that it may be passed through the slot and turned through 90 degrees to lock in the tube. As shown in Fig. 9, the bolts may also be used for fixing connector plates 64 in the ends of some tubes by engaging U-shaped members 62 which slip into the tube. Electric connectors may be fixed to the connector plates by screws 67. The bolts may also carry cable rests 50 as shown in Fig. 9 or in the form of three mutually perpendicular wire loops, Figs.11 and 12 (not shown). Adjacent vertical tubes 20 may be connected by a molded light alloy member 40, Fig.8 having openings 42, 42<SP>1</SP> acting as cable grommets. The member is point symmetrical about its centre so that then end of one mates with the end of the next, studs of differing sizes 49, 49a co-operate with corresponding holes 9<SP>11</SP> in bracket B to prevent the member being located upside down. The parts of the framework may be supplied as a kit. |
