发明名称 GARMENTS HAVING DURABLE ANTISTATIC PROPERTIES
摘要
1,261,791. Antistatic garments. TEIJIN Ltd. 5 March, 1969 [23 April, 1968; 18 June, 1968; 27 July, 1968; 25 Sept., 1968], No. 11834/69. Heading A3V. [Also in Divisions B5, C7 and D1] A garment having durable antistatic properties comprises an outer fabric and a lining or interlining of fibrous material at least part of which contains at least .01% by weight of an electrically conductive fibre comprising a substrate fibre with an electrically conductive coating, the fibre thereby retaining the functional properties of textile fibres. The conductive coating provides the antistatic properties as well as not being detrimental to said functional properties which include elasticity, subjectability to spinning, twisting, crimping, weaving, knitting and being able to withstand abrasion, tensile and bending stresses, scouring, dyeing and washing. The conductive coating, which may be of metal, metallic oxides or carbon, may be formed on the substrate fibre by direct application of a polymeric binder solution or emulsion of synthetic resin containing finely divided metal or carbon black, or alternatively, the coating can be formed by chemical plating or, in the case of metals, by vacuum evaporation. A top coating of an organic polymer may be applied on the conductive coating. The coating may also be strengthened by electroplating. The lining or interlining may contain only conductive fibres or a mixture of ordinary and conductive yarns mix-woven or mix-knitted together. It may also be formed by adhering or sewing the conductive fibres to a lining or interlining of ordinary fibres. The garment may be formed from an outer fabric of ordinary textile fibres which are of woven or knitted materials and forming laces or nettings, to which the lining or interlining containing the conductive fibres is bonded by adhesive or foam. Alternatively, the conductive fibres may be interposed in the fold back portion e.g. hem of the garment. For an efficient antistatic effect the conductive fibres should not be separated from each other by more than 30cm. The conductive fibres of the invention can be incorporated into suits, trousers, raincoats, overcoats, shirts, skirts and skirt hems, waistcoats and kimonas. Suitable metals for the conductive coating include silver, gold, platinum, copper, brass, nickel, aluminium, tungsten, cobalt, chromium, zinc and tin and suitable binder polymers include synthetic resins such as acrylic, epoxy; phenolic, urethane, melamine, urea, polyester, vinyl resins and combustions of oil-soluble phenolic resins with chloropene polymer, styrene/butadiene copolymer, acrylonitrile/butadiene copolymer and bisphenol/epichlorohydrin epoxy resins.
