<p>PURPOSE:To prevent such a state that a thermal head driving power supply is continuously set to an ON or OFF state by static electricity or noise, by controlling ON/OFF of the thermal head driving power supply by the signal obtained from a printing start switch. CONSTITUTION:When a printing start signal 6 is inputted to a head power supply control part 7, a printing signal 5 is inputted to a driver control part 8 and a power supply for a head 10 is applied to the head 10 to perform printing. However, when the printing start signal 6 is not supplied to the head power supply control part 7, even if the printing signal 5 is inputted to the driver control part 8, the power supply for the head is not applied and printing is not performed. Therefore, even when the signal corresponding to an erroneous printing signal is inputted to the driver control part 8 by static electricity or noise, unless the printing start signal 6 is inputted to the head power supply control part 7, the head power supply is not applied to the head 10. That is, the head 10 is protected from static electricity or noise.</p> |
