PURPOSE:To obtain the title refractory brick excellent in corrosion and spalling resistance, by constituting the refractory brick of aluminum nitride oxide, Si3N4, SiC, graphite, components selected from Al, silicon and B4C and alumina based raw material at specific ratios. CONSTITUTION:For example, a phenolic resin, as necessary, is added and kneaded with a raw material mixture of 3-50wt.% coarse, medium or fine particulate aluminum nitride oxide, 3-15wt.% Si3N4 having <=1mm particle diameter, 0-12wt.% fine powdery SiC, 3-70wt.% graphite, 0-6wt.% one or more components, selected from Al, silicon and B4C and having <=0.1mm particle diameter and the remainder of coarse, medium or fine particulate alumina based raw material in which the total amount of the Si3N4 and SiC is <=15wt.%. The resultant kneaded material is press formed and dried to afford the title refractory brick having the composition of the above-mentioned blending ratio. |
