PURPOSE:To obtain the title roll steel having wear resistance and toughness by specifying the compsn. consisting of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr, Mo, V and Fe. CONSTITUTION:The high chrome-typed roll steel for rolling contains, by weight, 0.9-<1.2% C, 0.1-<1.0% Si, 0.2-<1.0% Mn, <1 % Ni, 9.0%-<12.0% Cr, 0.2-<3.0% Mo, 0.1-<(1.0% V and the balance consisting of Fe with inevitable impurities. In the steel, high wear resistance and toughness are ensured and network-shaped eutectic carbide is drastically reduced to improve the grindability of a roll. The steel having the above compsn. is particularly suitable as a high chrome-typed intermediate or work roll for cold rolling and hot rolling. |
