PURPOSE: To produce an increase in power output of a steam injected gas turbine engine having a device for injecting superheated steam into a gas flow path by spraying and vaporizing water in the steam injecting device and mixing the steam with the steam therein. CONSTITUTION: In a gas turbine, fuel is combusted in a combustor 18 with compressed air supplied from a compressor 12. The generated high pressure and high temperature gas is supplied to a turbine 14. The combustion gas is exhausted through a flue 24 via a rear stage output power turbine 22 of the turbine 14. Steam is generated by a heat recuperative exhaust gas boiler 28 with the heat energy of the combustion exhaust gas, and injected to the gas flow path by steam lines 30 (50), 48. In this case, a water ejector and mixer 52 is arranged in the steam line 48 going through a dome 42 of a combustor 40. High pressure hot water is injected through an in let tube 54 so that hot water is directly vaporized and mixed with the steam in the line 48 to be injected in the dome 42.
