PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic toner superior in electrophotographic characteristics and storage stability, and capable of forming a sharp image colored to red, yellow, purple, or sepia, by adding -Fe2O3 as a main component of a magnetic material, together with a specified colorant and a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The prepared toner contains 100pts.wt. binder resin, 20- 100pts.wt. magnetic material contg. >=60wt% gamma-Fe2O3 of the total weight of the magnetic material, and 0.2-50pts.wt. colorant alone or a mixture represented formula I (R1, R2, R3 are each halogen, NO2, or lower alkyl, R4 is H or a group represented by formula II, R5, R6, R7 are same as R1, R2, R3), such as ''Permanent Red 4R'' or ''Sudan Orange GG''. The combination of said colorant and gamma-Fe2O3 enhances toner storage stability, fluidity, light, weather, heat resistance, etc. and the magnetic color toner obtained can form an image causing no discoloration and no fading for a long term. |
