PURPOSE: To keep a resistance element appropriately without being given any large influence of change during photoetching step by substituting a neck structure of bottle with unlimited length for an end point of 'football' and providing a central independent magnetic section which is very stable. CONSTITUTION: A central part 12 provided with parallel sides opposite to each other in the maximum width part, a transition part 14 provided with inwardly inclined sides, and a square bottle neck part 16 are provided so as to form a bottle neck type magnetic resistance element 10. This element is made of alloy of nickel and iron (80:20), and is made of optional suitable magnetic resistant material. The magnetization axis of material is along an axis of the element 10 as shown by an arrow mark, that is, parallel to the sides of the part 12, and the parameters of length and height and its range (μm) of the three parts 12, 14 and 16 are as follows: H1 =2 to 15; H2 =1 l to 3; L1 =0 to∞; L2 =10 to∞; L3 =5 to 25; thickness is 50 to 1000Å.
