PURPOSE:To obtain an electrically conductive resin composition capable of providing molded products, excellent in mechanical strength and surface slipperiness and stably exhibiting desired electric conductivity, by blending a thermoplastic resin with a prescribed amount of potassium titanate whiskers and carbon fibers prepared by a vapor process. CONSTITUTION:An electrically conductive thermoplastic resin composition obtained by blending a thermoplastic resin, as necessary, containing various additives blended therein with (A) potassium titanate whiskers of high-strength single crystal fibers expressed by the formula (n>=1), e.g., obtained by mixing with an oxygen acceptor in an inert atmosphere or reducing gas atmosphere and reductively calcining the resultant mixture at 500-1500 deg.C, in an amount of 5-30wt.% in the composition with (B) carbon fibers prepared by a substrate or floating method according to a vapor process in an amount within the range of 1-40wt.% in the composition and homogeneously kneading the components using a Banbury mixer, kneader, etc. |
