PURPOSE:To simply and economically obtain a paper improved in startup of a sizing degree, high in sizing effect, by exposing to steam a paper sized at a place following being pressed at the press part. CONSTITUTION:A paper is exposed to steam at a place following being pressed at the press part (pref. place following being dried at the dryer part) and sized using a sizing agent, thus obtaining the objective paper. Said sizing agent is pref. a ketene dimer-based compound, esp. a compound of the formula (R1 and R2 are each 8-30C hydrocarbon). |
