PURPOSE:To assure the secure adhesion of a catalyst and to facilitate production by sticking the catalyst kneaded with a heat resistant fibrous material over the entire surface of a base plate made of a metal which has many open cells and is formed with a rough surface by thermal spraying of a metal over the entire surface, then molding said base plate to a plate shape. CONSTITUTION:The catalyst 5 kneaded with the heat resistant fibrous material 11 (e.g., glass fibers) is stuck over the entire surface of the base plate 4 made of the metal having the many open cells 4b and formed with the rough surface by the thermal spraying of the metal over the entire surface. This base plate is then molded to the plate shape. As a result, the secure adhesion of the catalyst is assured and the production is facilitated. |
