PURPOSE:To obviate the residual color of the title material after processing by specifying the average silver iodide content of a whole photosensitive silver halide particle to <=5mol.% and by incorporating a specified compd. in the photographic sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The average silver iodide content of the whole photosensitive silver halide particle is specified to <=5mol.%, and at least one kind of the compd. shown by formula I is incorporated in the photographic sensitive material. In formula I, X and Y may be the same or different with each other, and are each cyano or carboxyl group, etc., and X and Y together with each other may form a ring, R1 and R2 may be the same or different with each other, and are each hydrogen or halogen atom., etc., R3 and R4 may be the same or different with each other and are each hydrogen atom. or alkyl group, etc., R3 and R4 together with each other may form a 5 or 6 membered ring, L is methine group. Thus, the residual color of the sensitive material after processing is obviated. |
