HIGH PURITYHUMAN FACTOR IX CONCENTRATE AND OTHER PLASMA PROTEIN, AND MEDICAL USE THEREOF

PURPOSE: To separate a concentrate of high pure human factor IX useful for B-hemophiliac in high purity by using an arbitrary human blood plasma fraction containing the factor IX and subjecting the fraction to an ion-exchange chromatography and an affinity chromatography. CONSTITUTION: The objective concentrate of high pure human factor IX is separated by subjecting the arbitrary human blood plasma fraction containing the factor IX (especially the fraction containing factors II, X and VII and proteins S and C) to an anion-exchange chromatography and further to an affinity chromatography obtained by using a fixed heparin. The product separated by the method has a merit of not including a contaminating material such as other clotting factors, plasma proteins and lipids.
