<p>PURPOSE:To allow the title device to correspond to a curl on the front end part of a sheet material independently of its direction by arranging a guide auxiliary member in a direction from the lower position of a guide member for guiding the front end part of the sheet material curled to the direction of a nip part to the nip part. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary plate 4 to be the guide auxiliary member is arranged in the direction from the lower position of a guide plate 3 to the nip part N. When the sheet material P whose front end part is curled downward is carried in the direction to the nip part N, the front end of the sheet material P is carried in a direction allowing the front end to come into contact with a pressure roller 2 in a space from the guide plate 3 up to the nip part, but the front end is not directly contacted with the pressure roller 2, slided along the surface of the auxiliary plate and surely guided up to the nip part, so that the sheet material P is not stopped. Since the auxiliary plate 4 is arranged at a proper angle, a shock to be generated when the front end of the sheet material P is abutted upon the auxiliary plate 4 is small, so that an unfixed image of the sheet material P can be prevented from being disturbed or the front end part of the sheet material P can be prevented from being folded.</p> |
