PURPOSE:To enable to obtain a low cost ion laser tube by a method wherein the sectional shape in axial direction of the group of graphites provided between an anode and a cathode is formed into a cut round. CONSTITUTION:In a laser tube 1, the group of graphite disks 4-6 whose sectional shape in axial direction is a cut round are provided between the anode 3 and the cathode 7. Thereby, a return pass 8 is obtained, accordingly, even when a large current arc discharge is generated between the anode 3 and the cathode 7, the rare gas inside passes through the pass 8 and flows. Therefore, the large current arc discharge is maintained for a long time, and thus a stable laser output can be obtained. Since the shape of the group of disks 4-6 is simple, the process cost is low, and therefore a low cost ion laser tube can be obtained. |
