PURPOSE: To test conveyance after fault recovery without switching a process mode by providing a paper money conveyance test path, a memory which stores a mode wherein a transaction can be done after the fault recovery, and a conveyance path control means. CONSTITUTION: When paper money insertion and start key depression are guided at a display part 31 after fault recovery, a CPU 39 guides the paper money insertion again unless a paper money is inserted with a start key pressed. When the both are met, the CPU 39 performs a conveyance test process without switching the mode to a conveyance test mode according to a program in a ROM 40. If the start key is not pressed in spite of a request to press the start key and then a request to pay money is made, a money paying process is performed without the conveyance test. When the start key is not pressed and no paper money is inserted, a money receiving process is performed without conducting the conveyance test. Therefore, the conveyance test can be conducted without switching the process mode of a device main body to the conveyance mode at each time after fault recovery. |
