PURPOSE:To remarkably enhance the yield of a small-diameter wire cutting process, by a method wherein, a reinforcing member is applied to the bottom of a wire cut part and thermally curved or frozen, and after a wire group fixed with the reinforcing member is cut off and ground, the reinforcing member is dissolved in a solvent or a hot water and dried. CONSTITUTION:On the bottom of the cut part of wires 2, a reinforcing member 1 of a water solution with approximately a 1:1 water/polyvinyl alcohol ratio or just a water is applied or injected all over the wire group 2, thereafter being thermally cured in a 50 deg.C-90 deg.C constant-temperature tank for 15min-25min or left to stand in a 0 deg.C or less constant-temperature tank for 30min or more to be frozen; in this manner, a polyvinyl alcohol resin layer or an ice layer is formed as the reinforcing member for the wire group 2. After that, the fixed wire group 2 is cut off by a high-speed cutter using a disk-form cutter. Then, the wire cut surface is ground by a grindstone etc. Next, the polyvinyl alcohol resin layer or ice layer, which has fixed the wire group, is removed by being dipped and dissolved in a hot water of the order of 60 deg.C-90 deg.C. |
