PURPOSE: To accurately position a photoconductor to a developing station by arranging a stopper forming means, a backup roller for deforming the photoconductor toward the developing station and a positioning means on the developing station. CONSTITUTION: When the developing station 18 is moved to a position in a reproducing device 8, the upper end of a cam 52 is engaged with the bottom part of an arm part 26 so as to rotate the arm 26 upward around the pivot 34 thereof and so as to rotate an arm part 26 around the pivot 32 thereof through a bar 22. When the arm parts 24 and 26 are rotated, the backup roller 46 is pressed downward by a spring 37 and engaged with the photoeonductor 10. By the pressing force of the spring 37, arm parts 28 and 30 are pressed downward until projection parts 48 are separately brought into contact with a stopper 50. Then, the photoconductor 10 is positioned with respect to a toning roller 19 in the station 18 by the roller 46 in cooperation with a roller 16. Thus, the photoconductor 10 is precisely positioned with respect to the roller 19 of the station 18. |
