发明名称 PULSED POWER LASER DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a pulsed power laser device with a high pulse peak by a method wherein a superconductive state of a pulse power supplying circuit is self-destructed by a magnetic field induced by the current which flows through the circuit, and the circuit is composed of a superconductor which enables it to function as a switching element. CONSTITUTION:Energy stored at a high voltage capacitor through a DC high voltage power source 1 is supplied to a laser oscillator 12 through a gap switch 3, so that a laser exciting discharge is made to occur in pulse between discharge electrodes 5 through the intermediary of a lead wire 4, and laser exciting rays are resonated with mirrors 7 and 8 to obtain a pulse laser power from a partially transmissive mirror 8. A superconductor 10 is installed very close to a case of a laser 12 and a lead wire lead is short, so that a pulse power supplying circuit 11 is made small in resistance and a large discharge current can be obtained. And, as the superconductivity of the superconductor lead wire 101 is self-destructed by an intense magnetic field induced by the large current so as to turn the lead wire 101 into a normal conductor, the circuit 11 is made to function as a super-high speed switching circuit. By these processes, a short pulse laser with a high peak can be obtained.
